IPS in Tennessee received the NAMI Tennessee 2019 Model Program Award to recognize their work throughout the state. IPS leaders from around the state accepted the award at the 33rd Annual NAMI Tennessee State Convention in September.
Mark Liverman, Director of the Office of Wellness and Employment for the Division of Mental Health Services in Tennessee, shared these thoughts on accepting the award: “Thank you and the NAMI TN team for recognizing IPS, the agencies who use the model throughout the state, the Department of Human Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for their investment in supporting people with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders in their search for work. Work is the best treatment we have for helping people with their recovery and this award recognizes that effort.”
Congratulations to our colleagues in Tennessee!
